To Rim High Band Parents, Students or Visitors,

Welcome to the Rim High Band Web Site!

The new year has begun and many performances have been scheduled. Please check the calendar that has been updated to reflect changes that have been made.

Before I bring you NEWS about currrent planned events, I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of you who helped the Rim High "Mountain of Power" Marching Scots this past fall season. It was an outstanding season with MANY success stories to "brag" about.

Congratulations to Drum Major Jacob Camacho on receiving a FIRST PLACE Drum Major Award at the Placentia Band Review as well as the band for their SECOND PLACE AWARD.

I also wish to thank the RBB President Marquita Foster and her Rim Band Booster Board members, Tracy Burwell, Cindi Blair and Paul Wright. They are PERFECT examples of dedicated parent volunteers. A big THANK YOU to Larry Blair for all his "constructive" contributions and powerful pulling efforts in all our travels. You will be missed. And, I would also like to thank Kim Hager for her willingness to take on the ever important emersion into the "room of uniforms"! We looked GREAT because of you! (By the way Larry and Kim . . . neither of you are done yet!)

NEW news brings us to our planned trip to Orlando Florida. During spring break 61 of us representing the Rim High Bands, school, and community will be traveling to Walt Disney World to perform in their music festival. Additionally, we will perform in one of the parks, visit Kennedy Space Center, and generally have a real great time! A Farewell concert has been planned for April 1 in the Performing Arts Theater at 7:00 PM.

Other news is a general announcent to our web site visitors regarding our annual Mile High Jazz Festival. Unfortunately, due to a variety of economic challenges, we are restricting our festival to a local event this year and will not open this Jazz Education experience to outside schools. We hope to bring back this event next year to everyone. Please refer to our Jazz Festival page for more information.

Again, check out the updated Calender and Schedule. . .

And

As always - keep the music going!
