Welcome Freshman Parents and Returning Boosters,
The Rim Band Boosters (RBB) are a charter of the Rim Instrumental Music Parents Association (RIMPA). We are a non-profit organization which supports the Rim of the World High School Instrumental Music Program. We are now in our 12th year of providing support to the band students, and band director at all of their performances and events.
Over the years the RIMPA has raise money to purchase uniforms for the Marching Band, purchase the band trailer, and purchase many instruments. We also provide water and supplies for the various band activities throughout the year. Through the hard work of volunteers and donations, over $51,000+ has been raised so far.
In order for the Booster association to remain successful, parent participation is needed. Booster meeting are held the first Monday of every month at 7:00pm in the band room. If this date falls on a non-school day, the meeting will be held on the following Monday. The first Booster meeting for the 2010/2011 school year will be on August 30th.
To become a booster you simply need to have a child in band, and attend at least one booster meeting. Booster Board meetings are a great way to keep informed on current band activities, upcoming events, and provide feedback. We will also have signup sheets for boosters to volunteer for upcoming events.
Boosters chaperone football games, parades, and other activities.
Last spring the band traveled for the second time to Orlando, Florida. Previous band trips have included Hawaii, and Washington DC. The band also participates in many local events including, Disneyland, UCLA Band Day, Fresno State Band Day, and numerous parades and concerts throughout Southern California.
The Booster program has many ways for you to participate. Your time will be much appreciated by the students. Polo Shirts and hooded zip-up jackets with the RBB logo are available for purchase. Shirts are $15 for small - X-large, $17 for XX-large, and $19 for XXX-large. Zip-ups are $30 for small - X-large and $33 for XX-large

Here's a list of band events and opportunities that are available to participate in...
Uniform Fitting During Band Camp
Football Games -
- Help pass out uniforms
- Lay out bleacher covers
- Plume the band hats
- Escort the band to and from the stands
- Clean and put away the hats
- Pull the wagon with necessities for the band
- Set up the podium for the national Anthem
Parades -
- Help load the trailer with equipment and uniforms
- Car pool to the parade site or ride the bus
- Assist with uniforms
- Follow the band on the parade route with water
- Pass out snacks/ food and water after the parade
- Pack and unpack the trailer
Concerts -
- Help pass out programs
- Bake or buy items to sell before, at intermission, and after the concert
- Help sell baked goods at intermission
Jazz Festival -
- Assist with stage set up and tear down
- Serve snacks and lunch to visiting jazz bands
- Prepare and serve dinner to the guest jazz musicians
Disneyland -
- Similar to parade event but at Disneyland!
By sign up only due to limited space
Weekend/Extended Trips -
- By chaperone only. Similar to parade events with the added
responsibilities of supervision and curfew
